From Diamond Head to the Lush Tropical Forests and the Oahu Coastline

Diamond Head CraterBack Roads of Oahu is an interactive and educational experience that takes you off the beaten path. Take a unique journey through time which blends culture, history and agriculture beginning with native Hawaiian living to Hawaii's plantation days of yesteryear through today's farming culture. See Hawaii's largest producing watercress farm; then, sample a Portuguese donut, the malasada, before heading to the northern side of Oahu. Next, visit Helemano Plantation with a walk through its garden filled with grapefruits, oranges and coffee beans; then, sample fresh cut pineapples during a pineapple cutting demonstration before heading to Sunset Beach, a favorite local hangout when traveling off the beaten path.Hanauma Bay snorkeling with tropical fishAt Kahuku Farms, an exclusive destination for Roberts Hawaii, you'll learn a bit of local farming history and taste apple bananas and Kahuku gold papayas grown right there on the farm. Here is where a catered lunch will be served featuring ingredients grown from the farm. Afterwards, you'll reboard the bus to reach Tropical Farms in Waikane where you can sample the wide variety of seasoned macadamia nuts prepared here daily. Experience through your five senses many of the things which makes Hawaii so unique.

Pulehu Marinated Beef served with "hapa" rice, local greens w/ Lilikoi vinaigrette featuring Kahuku Farms Lilikoi. Marinade features Kahuku papayas as a tenderizer, garlic, Aloha shoyu, sugar, sesame seeds, Hawaii orange grown at Kahuku Farms and green onions.

North Shore Tomato Salad featuring North Shore vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh Mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, local greens and a lilikoi vinaigrette featuring Kahuku Farm's lilikoi.

Lunch includes an ice cold Hawaiian Sun Drink and a refreshing scoop of Kahuku Farms papaya sorbet.
