A cliffside healing retreat and adventure base camp with stunning ocean views, Hale Pali Ku defines the term "Rustic Elegance."
| E Komo Mai is how the Hawaiians who lived on this very land 300 years ago would have welcomed you to this special place.
My
name is Ryan, and I welcome you into the home my friends and I built
from artifacts and ideas we collected from around the world. Hale Pali
Ku's dramatic architecture, stunning view, and amazing artwork will be
like nothing you've ever experienced. Here in the jungle, you will
discover a different way of living... the way we call "local." In
Hawaii, we remove our shoes at the front door. In Asian style, we enjoy
the trade wind breeze through open doors and indoor/outdoor living,
sleeping draped in the elegance of tropical netting, dreaming of
slumber in the garden. We care for, or "Malama", the natural world
which sustains us, respect local culture, and spread Aloha to everyone.
Instead of looking for the things we don't have in life, we appreciate
what we do have.
Calming Zen Lines - Stunning View - Dramatic Architecture | Hale Pali Ku's dramatic "Curved" roofline | |
| Relax on the lanai with oceanview of Northshore | Hale
Pali Ku is snugly perched on the pinnacle of a lush precipice, offering
breathtaking views in every direction. Eating on the Asian dining
platform, you overlook a verdant canopy of tropical trees, punctuated
by the stunning orange blossoms of African tulip trees. Our skyline
consists of Cook and Norfolk Island Pine silhouettes bordering the
sapphire Pacific, which seamlessly melts into the endless horizon. Hale
Pali Ku is a Polynesian inspired vacation villa that was built with
rich woods, bamboo and tender care. Thoughtfully decorated in a palette
of warm, comforting colors and sensuous furnishings, you'll slumber in
peaceful Zen surroundings and wake to a symphony of exotic birdsong. |
Connect
with nature in a way you've only dreamed in our outdoor shower. Refresh
your skin under a cascade of hot water while a whisper of breeze
caresses you. | Outside shower with tropical breeze | Select vegetables from the Organic Garden | Because
we grow much of the food we eat at Hale Pali Ku, we show our gratitude
for Mother Nature's gifts by giving back. While our kitchen is
outfitted with top-of-the-line stainless steel refrigerator/freezer and
full-size gas stove, we remain eco-friendly by not utilizing a disposal
or dishwasher. Instead we make compost from our organic waste to
nourish our garden and employ a deep copper sink to wash dishes. Copper
is functional because it is antibacterial. | Hale
Pali Ku offers a 2,000 square foot lanai to enjoy the best of outdoor
living. Rain or shine, you'll luxuriate in the views from hammock,
futon and Japanese dining platform. The cleanest air rolls in directly
from the rugged Pacific. Nestled among lush palms and fruit trees, the
lanai's privacy invites provocative moments. Allow the sun to wrap you
in its warm embrace and the moon to be your aphrodisiac.
Comfort
is paramount. The unique design of this 2,750 square foot home features
hammocks, outdoor futons, a king sized bed, 2 queen size beds, 2
bathrooms, outside showers, and a hot tub. | The Kuiaha Suite: provides privacy and amazing ocean view
This
1,600 sq ft. second level suite offers a master
bedroom and loft that also has a built in bed nook with a stained glass window.
Seamless boundaries are created throughout, as the carved teak wall
slides open between the master bedroom and living room. Similarly,
custom accordion glass doors slide open to create a 16 ft. opening
between the living room and 600ft. lanai. Once on the lanai, lounge on
the custom Balinese dining platform and gaze over the hot tub and
jungle to see ships pass in the distance and whales jump! Three stained
glass windows, seven carved Balinese doors, a carved marble outdoor
shower, Moroccan lighting, hardwood throughout, all windows custom
milled with mitered glass corners, copper sink, and art built into each
nook and cranny.

| | | | Spa Bungalow Terrace:Enjoy
the dramatic view from our "Spa Bungalow Terrace", situated below the
main house. Here you'll find a hot tub, small pond, and a little man
made beach with a fire pit. During the night, enjoy campfires under
Maui's starry sky, to the sounds of acoustic guitar. In the bungalow,
we offer a variety of massage treatments for your relaxation pleasure. | | | The Botanical Garden:Our
botanical garden has over 100 fruit trees and many rare native Hawaiian
plants. Examples of a few of our exotic tropical fruit trees are
Jaboticaba, Bread Fruit (staple Polynesian food), Cacao (chocolate),
Mountain Apple, Noni (cancer fighting), Mangosteen (high in
antioxidents), Cinnamon, etc. We feature one native Lobelia - so rare,
it is now extinct in the wild. Hale Pali Ku also has a vegetable garden
you may harvest from when making delectable meals on your Maui Vacation. | | | The Neighborhood:
Tucked
away in the jungle, yet walking distance to an outdoor cafe and shops,
Hale Pali Ku is truly unique. We are perched above a jungle ravine that
meets the ocean a half mile away in a secret bay for picnics, we are
five minutes drive to the ocean, and ten minutes to the famous
"Ho'okipa" beach and the beach town of Paia.
