Maui is famous for some of the best diving in the world. Scuba is big in Hawaii and huge in Maui. You'll see that if you're doing a regular shore dive, a boat trip to molokini, or a scuba trip to Lanai, Maui County offers an abundance of sea life. Giant sea turtles, vast schools of hawaiian fish, graceful reef sharks, quick moving octopus, gliding manta rays, open-mouthed eels, and enormous living reefs are just a few of the brilliant collection of creatures you'll see.


Maui scuba diving video below provides details on dive spots available on Maui: Black Rock, St. Anthony's Wreck, Molokini Crater Back Wall, Tank Landing Craft, Eel Garden and other reefs. Some boats take only certified divers and others will take both snorkelers and divers on the same trip. Dive and snorkel boats depart from Maalaea Harbor, Kihei Boat Harbor and Lahaina Harbor. Be sure to let us know if you would like to try scuba diving or snuba, rather than the poplular Molokini Crater snorkeling. Seems the best way to view all there is to see such as morey eels, turtle hiding spots, octopus, and the vast amount of tropical fish is by scuba diving or snuba.

 Dive sites are always determined when we get out on the water in the morning depending on wind, current, visibility, surf, and the requests and abilities of the divers. Typically one of the two dives is someplace at Molokini, unless it is very rough or unless no one onboard is requesting Molokini. There is no way to predict a particular dive site even a day in advance because the wind might not do what is predicted, we could get to a spot and see that the current is too strong or that visibility is horrible, etc. What we've found over the years is that divers are much happier diving sites that are good for that particular day, than they are diving a "guaranteed" site in unfavorable conditions.
